For students

ORIGINS welcomes undergraduate, Honours, PhD, Masters, and Doctor of Medicine students, in addition to junior doctors or trainees wishing to undertake a research placement or project as part of their studies.

ORIGINS fosters a strong supportive network for students joining the team.

Students can be involved directly with ORIGINS or one of the sub-projects.

ORIGINS has a number of research projects in development for students looking for project ideas. We can also link you to potential supervisors at The Kids Research Institute Australia and other research institutions.

Students can also volunteer with the project further or prior to their student placement with ORIGINS.

Opportunities for scholarships are available for students from ORIGINS.

See our Annual Performance Report, pages 13 - 16, for a list of previous and current student projects.

Potential ORIGINS student project topics include:

  • Nature
  • Data linkage

The ORIGINS Student Circle

The ORIGINS Student Circle was established in 2020 and invites all current, past and future students involved with The ORIGINS Project or one of the sub-projects. The group offers an opportunity for students to network with the ORIGINS team and fellow students. Students may present and discuss their research, hear from members of the ORIGINS team and request and receive support from ORIGINS and their peers. Contact the Research team to find out how to join the ORIGINS Student Circle.

Download the Expression of Interest Form or get in touch with us about becoming involved.
