Reconsidering your level of involvement?
We have a number of options for any of our ORIGINS families that decide they would like to scale back their involvement.
Please remember that any information we collect from your/your babies medical records is de-identified, so nobody knows it is your information relative to the 10,000 other people in the study. It just allows us to gain more information on the health of mothers birthing at the hospital and the subsequent health of their children.
If you do decide to withdraw altogether, please have a chat with one of our staff members regarding your options. Withdrawal forms are available for you to complete if necessary.
Please note that any biological samples or information we have already collected (no matter how little) are still incredibly valuable to ORIGINS and future researchers. If your partner and child are already signed up to ORIGINS they will also require the completion of withdrawal forms.
