Magical Microbiomes at Telethon

Hundreds of kids and their families visited The ORIGINS Project booth over the Telethon weekend to learn about the magical microbiome.

More than $42 million was raised to help sick kids over the Telethon weekend in October, and the ORIGINS team was there to share in the excitement.

Hosting The ORIGINS Project booth at the Telethon Beneficiaries Expo, our staff volunteered their time and welcomed hundreds of kids and their families to join in the activities. We even had some ORIGINS families pop by to visit us.

Kids learned about the Magical Microbiome and how it helps to keep our bodies healthy, making their own slimy glittery microbiome bags to take home with them. There were also sensory buckets for the kids to dig through to discover ‘healthy bugs’, and the team gave away some fun freebies, all about connecting with nature.

As one of Telethon’s earliest and longest-standing beneficiaries, The Kids Research Institute Australia and the ORIGINS Project is incredibly grateful for the continued support of the West Australian public, along with major donors who once again dug deep to contribute over the weekend.

Check out some of the photos of all the fun and frivolities at the ORIGINS Project Telethon Booth.
